On behalf of the faculty and staff of G D Goenka Public School, Bahadurgarh, it is my pleasure to welcome you to our school's website.
"Education is the most powerful weapon we can use to change the world"
We believe that Education's purpose is to replace an empty mind with an open one. We are of the conviction that giving roots of values is significant so that our students remain firmly rooted to the ground. We give them wings of ambition, so that they can soar like falcons to touch the skies and endeavour to make them global citizens who can look beyond geographical boundaries and promote a culture of peace and universal brotherhood.
Children acquire skills and knowledge easily if we can make the surrounding stimulating and purposeful. At GD Goenka our approaches to learning is child centric encouraging Activity based learning and inculcating a scientific temper and a spirit of free enquiry. We believe in nurturing Multiple Intelligences and honing life-skills as our constant endeavour to shape well-rounded personalities
We support the individual wellbeing of our students and provide a school environment that allows every student to thrive as they work towards achieving their personal best performance. We set high expectations for our students and work hard to safeguard positive emotions across our school community.
We offer a broad curriculum and a range of opportunities for all our students to achieve excellence in academic, creative, social, cultural, sporting and community endeavours. We value collaborative learning, positive relationships and building capacity amongst our students to effectively allow them to engage in the world of the future, where problem solving, evaluating, working in teams, communicating, creating and innovating are not only valued concepts, but expected skills, attributes and capabilities. Students are challenged and engaged through authentic learning opportunities that inspire them to develop creativity, confidence and resilience to become independent and ethical life-long learners.
Teachers ignite curiosity and the desire to learn rather than routinely load children with academic burden, a methodology that turns learning into a combination of classroom study, research and scientific discovery. If innovation and novel ideas are a key to a bright future, then we can surely remain assured of our place under the pedagogic sun.
I along with my team pledge to work for every child, be a compass that activates the magnets of curiosity, knowledge and wisdom in our students and in the process, open new vistas in the area of education.
We believe in nurturing Multiple Intelligences and honing life-skills as our constant endeavour to shape well-rounded personalities
"Education is a shared commitment between dedicated teachers, motivated students and enthusiastic parents with high expectations"
Our philosophy of educationhas always been meeting the needs of the individual child. The curriculum takes on a student-centred approach, where learning skills, problem solving, communication and critical thinking are of paramount importance.
Let us think of education as the means of developing our greatest abilities, because in each of us there is a private hope and dream which, fulfilled, can be translated into benefit for everyone and greater strength for our nation.
Having been an educator for several years, I keenly support the pivotal, proactive role an educational organisation of repute plays in today's society. I feel honoured to be in charge of a seat of learning that can mould the most significant resource of any nation - young, impressionable human minds.
I believe that the approach to motivating and getting the best out of the children is based on the positive reinforcement of good work and good behaviour with a philosophy which centres on praise, encouragement, enthusiasm, fun and affection rather than criticism, fear and punishment. Nevertheless, nothing worthwhile can be achieved without a sense of discipline and thus we will prepare them to conform to high disciplinary standards and to cherish the values of tolerance, fair play, compassion, and independent thinking.
